I was like, wow I thought this game had more than just silence in it, then realized my volume was at 0... nice to see extra burp option added. I can also report I get stuck with no exit portal at the fishing spot. The frost breath seems a little weak for being a close range option as well.


Edit: Or the lake isn't showing you that you have more attempts, the interact wisp is invisible.

Something about how settings are saved might default a new install sfx and music volume to 0. Not sure why, but after you change the setting and apply, it should save it. For fishing just look for the button prompt, you always fish in the same spot near the leftmost part of the lake.

Hey I have just finshed and really enjoyed the game. though I would like to ask about a few bugs

for one when ever I go fishing, either by declining the lake serpents offer or just selecting the space, it does not let me leave no matter what I try.

secondly not really an issue but if you are in the swallowing animation when you are knocked down and then instantly swallowed by a near by enemy, the enemy you are swallowing will be stuck underneath your chin in their knocked out state though you can just tounge it again to stop the glitch

also I am not sure if it's an accident put if you press 0 you move faster and go through walls

regardless you did an amazing job on this, especially all on your own

seems that the serpent boss also isn't showing up for me? I just get a fish and nothing happens on the final square

You need to fish 3 times to get the portal to open, or for the serpent boss to show up. I need to put the sparkle indicator back up for each fishing attempt to let players know to keep it up. Pushing 0 to move fast was a debugging/testing tool that I must have forgot to disable. That swallowing glitch is probably a matter of overlapping stuff happening which I need to disable. Thanks for letting me know about these issues.

Probably not, but not 100% off the table. If it gets added, it will be from visitor encounters from people who get their OC added to the game. That is quite a ways off, however.

I’ve started work on it just graphics & animating so far, one & a half new enemies are done. I want to have a pretty big update fleshed out before releasing it though, all of zone 2 is my hope.

Hey hello! I played the game and I thought it was amazing. The gameplay is very good, the enemy mechanics are very challenging and the perks are very creative and cool.

I played it on my phone, so it had some bugs. But that didn't ruin my enjoyment while playing the game. I'll be happy to follow future updates and wish you success in your hard work on the project. ;)

Thanks. Glad you liked the game. The phone version is kind of slow and janky and that’s why I’ll be switching to just pc versions/support in the future.

how to click the final level on Android? im trying to click everything on my screen but it didn't do anything?.

but this still a fun game to play anyway, i like the gameplay mechanic and random visitors scene,  but my phone can't handle the huge monster scene, its always crashing and the progress lost

It's okay if there is no longer a phone version, what matters is that you are mentally and physically well so that you can continue working at your own pace and with pleasure :3

Well I beat the game but the game then it went to black screen and crashed :/

Latest Android hotfix is up as well as a final goodbye to Android support. See above for my frustrated rant.

Hi, i am an android player, i have attempted to swallow the final boss after i knocked them out twice but it doesnt seem trigger the cutscene, i dont know if thats a hitbox thing or an actual bug.

I’m pretty sure I know the cause. I’ll try to get a fix out tomorrow or so.

I think the fishing part needs fixing it bugs out on me and i cant get past the level and soft locks me in that area.

Did this happen on PC or phone?

It happens on PC, not sure if others are having same issues.

It’s probably not locked? The F button prompt doesn’t show up after the first fishing attempt. You’ll need to fish 3 times before the portal will show up and you have to be in the spot where the sparkles first appeared. I probably need to make the sparkles & prompt reappear after each fishing.

the game runs kinda slow but is so fun I love it

Yeah, it’s not really optimized great for phone play and the game probably is poorly optimized overall since I’m an amateur developer with Gdevelop.

I still love the game I hope you see that you have amazing talent you are amazing keep up the good work

Android version seems great, awesome work on it, but wanted to report a bug, I think there is a softlock when beating a boss. When the boss is defeated, all weapons (including tongue) are unusable, so can't nom the boss to complete the stage. Tried walking around it etc. but couldn't trigger anything.

As a side note, is there a way to enable the unlimited lives on the Android version?

These sorts of things were kind of what I was worried about with android port. Boss eating trigger I just must have forgot to add. I will add a way to do unlimited lives too.

Android version (and some fixes for all versions) is out now. It was pretty tricky to do, and I still think the PC version is better, but for those who don’t have a PC it’s an option.

The leviathan doesn't seem to have his nom attack in the gallery of gulps. I thought it was because I didn't defeat him yet but did so and on hard too and I still can't see it. It's just his nom, his prey animation working just fine. 

Yeah it’s not in the game yet, I forgot to add it to the gallery. I will fix it in the next update. Until then you can enjoy that animation over here on my FA account.

Quick bug report: a few times now, when I click a dialog bubble to encounter a character near the end of a run (usually one or two before the final boss), the game completely freezes on the hint screen before the encounter.  I am wondering if it hangs on a certain encounter being randomly chosen more than once (Like Oenla twice or Tezz twice)?  It is particularly in runs where I have many encounters.  I expected to run into Peliptor this time as I already met Larwin (at a ? instead of a dialog bubble), Tezz, and Oenla.  Maybe it is something about meeting Peliptor with one life left, too.

Okay sorry about that. I’ve run into this bug before, basically its to prevent the same visitor encounter more than once, and if it does it again the game has a fit. I probably didn’t account for double Larwin visits because its the new encounter. I’ll look into fixing. Thanks for letting me know.

Another glitch, the QTEs for fishing show up very quickly, too quickly to react and i fail because the game also expects me to react in the same window of time.

Oh, I think this glitch occurred because I alt+tabbed after pausing in the fishing spot.

Alt tabbing I think can cause some peoples games to go a bit wonky. It’s never done it for me so kind of hard to bug test for that.

I chose the difficult enemy option in the map branch (the first map option) and this enemy is outside of the map. I have nothing that can even target it.

I’ve fought the enemy out of bounds glitch for a while now. Its mostly eliminated but they still get out sometimes. So all you need to do is wait for a couple minutes and the exit portal will show up. It’s not ideal but at least you won’t be soft locked out of a run. The other thing you can do is quit and continue which will respawn and reload the standard level.

Played your game and gotta say I really enjoyed it! It's challenging and I love a good challenge, maybe we can get a no hit run mode (although I can see that extremely difficult XD). Very satisfying digesting the enemies as well as seeing them digesting our little friend. Do you think we could see the visitors like Peliptor have digestion animation? And my suggestion for the next zone, I think having a forest zone would be perfect for the next area imo, every games gotta have a forest level!  

Anyways that's enough about me rambling, please remember to take a big break since you've worked hard on this game. Wouldn't mind supporting you through patreon, might even suggest which enemies to be added for the next zone.

Hey thank you very much! It always makes me happy to hear someone say they enjoy my game. Peliptor does need a digestion animation which I can do later. I’ve gotten more votes for Fungal Forest than other zone themes so its probably what I will do next. Your offer for patreon support is awesome and I for sure will make that a thing later (probably after zone 2 is done)

New 0.55.1 Hotfix is out. Added a couple of minor things and fixed some bugs.

Eventually. Since testing the game on a phone is more difficult, I’m wanting to get it a bit more polished and fixed before I do. It’s on my list of stuff to work on.

I encountered a bug where the belly explosion didn't detonate after i got eaten and just nothing happened

Okay thanks. Do you know what ate you? Was it a boss or regular enemy? I do remember making a last minute change to the box that causes the detonation so its very possible that I simply messed up the event. I’ll take a look. I’m going to be putting out a hotfix soon so hopefully I can fix it.

It was on both normal and boss, another thing that happened is with the old boss, the orange dragon, that i got defeated and eaten and then he just stopped attacking but was also immortal

Yes I am planning on starting a patreon, but am not quite ready to do it yet. I’d like to flesh the game out a bit more before I do, but maybe doing it sooner wouldn’t hurt. Thanks a lot for your interest! I’m glad to hear it.

I’m getting close, new boss is almost done, animations are done just need to work on scripting the fight a bit more and stuff. I’d like to add a few other things like a couple of new breath weapons and perks too. Be patient and rest assured I am still working on it. Thanks for your interest!

Yes, I’m still working on it. So far enemy digestions & animations are done as well as an internal belly struggle minigame and new fishing minigame. New visitor animation/encounter done also. I’m currently working on a new boss and am still doing animation for it’s defeat. After new bossfight is all done then I’ll release an update. A teaser though, the new boss is a really big sea serpent.

A HYDRA! ahh no, there's already a dragon... maybe leviathan? maybe some deep sea snek? hmmm

Hi again. Thanks for the interest and questions. Let me see if I can answer them all.

1: My very first animation was the egg swallow I use for my avatar. Since it was my 1st, I thought it would be easier to animate than something else. Story wise, yes they are unfertilized dragon eggs. Hence the powerup. Tezzie can do it because of her connection to the Mistress as they are blood related.

2: Normal enemies probably can’t. but so far 2 visitors have mentioned reforming. Oenla and Peliptor. So it’s definitely not a completely unique power. Having visitors that can reform means they will be more willing to let you eat them so there will be that for sure.

3: I had thought their name would be Traxiss, but probably should come up with something different to differentiate between myself and them. Thier species needs a name too. They are related to dragons and serve them, but I don’t want to use the K name from D&D since that’s copyrighted. I’m open to suggestions if you can think of a good name for the protagonist and their species.

4: I was thinking it’s because they are attempting to gain draconic power for themselves or trying to gain the ability to reform. Ultimately eating you isn’t enough for them to do so but they think they can. I hadn’t really thought much more about it than that. My game is lacking a bit in the story department.

5: Hard mode would probably be just like it has more health, shoots more projectiles or has new attacks etc. More bosses are planned for sure. But that’s a good idea for variations.

6: Hah I don’t really have it planned out. So far I was going to try to do 3 main zones with a final boss at the end of zone 3. Zones 1 & 2 would have different random bosses. Some sort of hub/village area would be nice to have in between runs.

7: I’ve got a struggle minigame done. Basically you get an internal bubble when swallowed and you do a quick time event. The better you do the more shield points you get upon reforming, up to 3. I’m going to use the same QTE game for fishing (once I can get the dang thing coded properly) Other changes? It’s mostly adding stuff that people have suggested, of course I can only do so much and not everything suggested will get in the game.

8: Uh I hadn’t really considered it. My animations are fairly simple and its mostly a matter of layers moving prey in bit by bit and adding more green to cover. You’re probably just reading too much into it and my sound effects not really being exact and stuff. I’ve got someone who is working on doing new music and vore sounds so in the future they should probably sound better.

9: I just like throat pouches like Pelicans and stuff so they’ve got a really stretchy bottom jaw pouch. I’ll probably do more with it later, like storing enemies or objects. If I do more than 3 prey capacity It will be easier to animate prey into pouch, then pouch to belly so I wouldn’t have to animate each enemy getting swallowed to belly size 4 or 5 etc.

10: Yes probably. But it’s good to think about stuff like this. So thanks again for your interest in my silly little gulping game.

After a much needed break from the game, I am back to working on it. Got enemy digestion animations done and a rather large tasty new visitor prey animation done. None of which are actually in the game yet but I’m back at it! Thanks to everyone for patiently waiting for new content and for all your encouragement and great comments. It will still be a while before a new update is ready, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m still making progress and I don’t plan on leaving the game unfinished dead in the water.

i have one suggestion : more belly sizes will be awesome vore more than 3 monsters

Possibly in the future. I think utilizing the throat pouch would make the animations easier to do for 4 or more.

Accessories would be really cool. They would probably have to be separate objects animated separately otherwise It would be many nightmares worth of extra animation work. Clothes would probably be too much of a pain, but maybe something like hats, jewelry or tail accessories would be cool. Good suggestion, just don’t know how much work it would take. I’ll keep it in mind though. Thanks.
